The integration process is EMR-specific. Data linkages are coordinated directly with EMR vendors of cloud-hosted solutions or local IT teams once authorized. No development time is required. Integrations are typically completed in 2-4 weeks.
You can still request individual analyses for Single Records as long as you can export a copy of a patient's record to a PDF. Exports can be uploaded for analyses on Compass or sent in with a requisition ↓ by email or fax.
Physicians can use our data lab services without prior consent. Privacy memorandums describing compliance with regional health information privacy legislation are available below.
We use industry-leading administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect the health information we process on behalf of our customers against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, inappropriate use and modification. This includes collecting the minimum amount of health information necessary to provide our services, de-identifying health information where possible, implementing asymmetric encryption protocols that allow our customers to re-identify information without us having the ability to do so, storing information for the minimum amount of time necessary to provide our services and implementing HIPAA-compliant technical safeguards.
De-identified data are encrypted at rest and stored on our Virtual Private Cloud where they can be analyzed in accordance with our General Terms, Terms of Use of Compas Web Application, Privacy and Data Policy and Information Security and Privacy Policy. All data for Canadian customers is stored at a cloud computing facility in the Montreal metropolitan area.
We currently restrict access to our algorithms and services to board-certified phycians. We are actively working on algorithms that patients can request directly and hope to make those available in the near future.
